Asahi/America expands building information modeling and CAD library files
Asahi/America expanded its building information modeling library on its website. The library now contains CAD files for the company’s Air-Pro compressed air piping, Asahitec PP-RCT commercial HVAC and plumbing piping, Proline single wall industrial piping, and Purad ultra-high-purity PVDF piping systems, in addition to its manual valves. CAD files can be downloaded through the company’s online catalog at cad.asahi-america.com.

Saniflo appoints Ceballos business development manager
Saniflo, a division of Group SFA, appointed Ruben Ceballos to the newly created position of business development manager for the East Coast. He is based in Edison, New Jersey. Like his counterpart on the opposite side of the country, California business development manager Lupe Serrano, Ceballos will work with plumbing and heating wholesaler-distributors and contractors in the East to increase sales through plumber product trainings.

Taco promotes Merchant to CEO
John Hazen White Jr., executive chairman and owner of the Taco Family of Cos., announced the promotion of Cheryl Merchant to CEO of the 100-year-old, third-generation family-owned company. Merchant, who joined Taco in 2019, was previously president of global operations. Prior to joining Taco, she spent 19 years as the president and CEO of Hope Global Industries, based in Cumberland, Rhode Island.

J.C. Whitlam hires new sales manager for South markets
J.C. Whitlam hired Bradley Cheslock as the southern regional sales manager for the plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, irrigation and fire protection markets. He will be responsible for managing and extending J.C. Whitlam’s full line of specialty chemicals and Plumb-Pro tools through the wholesale distribution chain in the southern U.S.
