General Pipe Cleaners’ Hot-Shot pipe-thawing machine was selected by Rental magazine for the Editor’s Choice Award.

The Hot-Shot was chosen as a winner for the Editor’s Choice Awards based on several factors, including innovation, versatility, productivity and profit potential as well as audience engagement. Rental is a nationally recognized magazine serving equipment rental professionals for the past 42 years.

“We’re excited to present the Editor’s Choice Award winners. As always, this year’s winning products represent the best of what leading manufacturers have to offer,” said Jenny Lescohier, editor of Rental magazine.

“It is a honor for General Pipe Cleaners to be chosen for this award by such a reputable publication,” said Marty Silverman, vice president of marketing, General Pipe Cleaners. “We proudly stand by our time-tested products, and it’s always special to receive this kind of recognition.”

Hot-Shot pipe thawing machines thaw pipes in minutes to eliminate tearing up floors, breaking through walls, or digging around pipes in frozen ground. General offers two models: The Hot-Shot 320 to thaw up to 100 feet of 1 1/2-inch pipe, and the powerful Hot-Shot 400 with dual level output to thaw frozen lines up to 175 feet long in 1 1/2-inch diameter lines.

They're easy to use, too. The operator attaches pipe clamps to the frozen pipe section, plugs the machine into any convenient 115 volt receptacle, and in a few minutes, the frozen pipe is thawed out. The machines are compact, with a heavy-gauge steel case, and carry a two-year warranty.
