Tools + Get AlertsThe new Gen-Eye SDW video inspection and location system from General Pipe Cleaners has Wi-Fi inside. The Wi-Fi transmitter inside the command module sends video to your smartphone or tablet. A free app lets you easily view and record video inspections at a range of up to 300 to 500 feet. The older SDN systems can be upgraded with the Wi-Fi feature as well.
The Gen-Eye SDW, a beefed-up version of the popular Gen-Eye SD, incorporates a number of enhancements to make inspection easier:
- Larger, 10.4-inch LCD screen
- Built-in waterproof keyboard
- Integral SD recorder
- Wi-Fi transmitter that sends video to a smartphone or tablet.
- All in a new, heavy-duty Pelican case.
Weighing just 12 pounds, the versatile and rugged Gen-Eye SDW offers all the features of full-size video inspection systems in a compact, lightweight package. Use the docking arm to mount it on a full-size reel to troubleshoot 3-inch to 10-inch lines — or on a mini-reel for 2-inch to 4-inch lines.
The SD card reader stores video or still images — a 1-gigabyte card recording approximately two hours of video. The generous 10.4-inch LCD color monitor provides crisp, clear pictures. And the full-size, waterproof keyboard permits nine pages of on-screen titling in wet environments.
The Gen-Eye SDW also sports a built-in voice over microphone with switch, LED dimmer control, camera test port, video and audio out connections for external recording devices, and AC and DC power cords. It's all housed in a heavy-duty Pelican case to protect your investment.
