In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, increased cleanliness and sanitation have become paramount as the country moves forward. Lenova offers the Aqualogic Ozone hot and cold faucet line that uses ozone as an ecologically safe way to clean food, and any other water-safe surface, without any chemicals or chemical residue.

Available as a standard single-hole or pull-out side spout, the faucets include a small, thin ozone generator that uses regular AC electrical current to economically and naturally produce ozone water. The aqueous ozone produced is a powerful, clinically proven and extensively tested broad-spectrum microbiological agent designed to kill viruses, bacteria, mold, yeast and algae within seconds of contact, according to the maker.

“The unit actually takes plain tap water and converts it into ozone, a powerful oxidizer that is 100 times faster than chlorine,” says Jay Beaumont, national sales and marketing manager for Lenova. “It breaks down to water in about 30 minutes, sanitizes anything in about 30 seconds and will make 20,000 gallons at less than a half-cent per gallon.”

According to Lenova, since ozone is 100 times stronger than chlorine, it kills bacteria 3,100 times faster. Ozone can be used to kill all common food pathogens, including Salmonella, Norovirus and E. coli, and removes pesticides from fresh produce, extending the shelf life of food, removing odors and increasing the level of protection from foodborne illnesses.

All of this cleaning power is packed into an aesthetically pleasing package. Available in polished chrome or brushed nickel finish, the Aqualogic faucet has the silhouette and minimalist style to make it suited for any kitchen decor.

“The potential uses and health benefits are endless, from sanitizing cooking utensils and cutting boards to disinfecting baby toys and binkies,” Beaumont says. “The faucet is a great way for consumers to feel confident that their kitchens are germ-free and that food prepared there is absolutely safe for consumption.”

Ozone is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for sanitizing surfaces and leaves no toxic residue, providing a natural, safe and inexpensive antimicrobial solution for the home. 877-733-1098;
