Flomatic names new national sales manager

Flomatic Corp. announced the promotion of Jim Tucci to national sales manager. Tucci will continue to lead the expansion of Flomatic valve products nationally and internationally. In addition, Tucci will now oversee Flomatic’s customer service department. He joined Flomatic in August 2014 as the industrial and municipal sales engineer after a long career as a driller both as an owner/operator of a water well and geothermal drilling company in upstate New York, and several positions with environmental firms performing sonic drilling and direct-push sampling.


Mr. Rooter celebrates strong first half of 2020

Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a Neighborly company, awarded five new franchise agreements and expanded to five additional territories for existing franchise owners from January through June 2020. This growth brings the total size of the network to almost 250 locations open and in development across North America, with a strong forecast of continued expansion ahead.


First Supply’s Poehling Seymour wins Woman of the Year award

American Supply Association’s Women in Industry Division recently announced that Katie Poehling Seymour, the First Supply chief administrative officer and chief operating officer, Kitchen and Bath Stores, is the recipient of the 2020 Alice A. Martin Woman of the Year award. She was to receive the award at the Women in Industry ELEVATE2020 event in Charleston, South Carolina, that was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


Milwaukee Tool opens new service hub

Milwaukee Tool expanded its footprint with a new service hub in Greenwood, Indiana. Anticipated to open in March 2021, the centralized repair facility will complement the company’s other service hub in Greenwood, Mississippi. Both the Indiana facility and service hub in Mississippi will act as the main axis points for the company’s service operations for users around the U.S. The Indiana facility will employ more than 450 people.


Oatey promotes Smith to vice president and chief HR officer

Oatey announced the promotion of Dalithia Smith to vice president and chief human resources officer. Smith joined Oatey over two years ago as vice president, human resources, and has more than 20 years of experience in human resources leadership. Prior to joining Oatey, she spent 10 years at Lincoln Electric, most recently as vice president, human resources, Americas welding.


Griffco Valve names Bendel II as product/technical manager

Griffco Valve announced the appointment of William L. Bendel II to the position of product/technical manager. He will be responsible for compiling and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product goals, and working with Griffco engineering, sales and marketing to support the company’s distributors, end users and channel partners.


Jim Murray announces name change and office move

Jim Murray announced the company name will change to JMI Pump Systems and that the company is moving into its new Germantown, Wisconsin, facility at W194 N11695 McCormick Drive. Providing products and services to Wisconsin and northern Illinois since 1958, JMI was founded by Angela and Jim Murray.


Watts announces new leaders for key business units

Watts announced new leaders for several key business units. Jim Koepsell was appointed the general manager of Watts’ drains and industrial businesses. Previously, Koepsell led Watts’ commercial operations organization. Atul Sharma was named the director of Watts’ commercial operations and general manager for Watts’ SynctaSM business. Previously, Sharma led multiple strategic projects for Watts and served on the Corporate Strategy and Business Development team. And Carlos Haddad was appointed general manager for Watts’ Dormont gas business unit in addition to his existing role as vice president of marketing and business development, Americas and Europe. He is responsible for Watts’ gas connector and gas safety systems for residential, commercial and food service applications. 


Lightovation International Lighting Show to be held in Dallas

Lightovation, a twice-annual event showcasing residential lighting, will be held Jan. 7 -10 at the Dallas Market Center. The show will have more than 1 million square feet of permanent showrooms featuring new styles and technology. Products on display include ceiling fans, lighting controls, and kitchen, bath and smart lighting systems. Neff joins board of directors for PMI

Bob Neff of Delta Faucet joined the board of directors of Plumbing Manufacturers International. An active PMI member since 2016 and co-chair of PMI’s technical committee since 2019, Neff is the product compliance and regulatory manager at Delta Faucet. As the co-chair of PMI’s technical committee, Neff plays a key role among a group of industry technical experts who monitor proposed changes to local, state, national and international plumbing codes and standards, including green codes to foster greater sustainability.
