Do you have an eye-popping, mind-blowing rock star of a truck with WOW appeal that you’d like the world to see? Well, show us your truck! Simply email your photo with your name, company you work for, description of your truck and what makes it unique to

To get things rolling, for the next two weeks – and hopefully longer – we’ll be showing you the trucks proudly driven by members of Plumbers Alert, a Facebook group for plumbers by plumbers. Already over 3,000 strong, the group invites plumbers to freely post their work and share some criticism for the betterment of the profession. To join, go to

“I have been in the industry since 1989 doing various duties from technician to dispatcher to manager and even vice president,” says group founder Chuck Thompson. “One thing I always thought was that plumbers and companies should be able to learn from each other and communicate. It always felt as if there was animosity between some of the owners that inhibited that.

“I started Plumbers Alert a little over two years ago to hopefully achieve the communication and learning I wanted,” he says. “It has grown well beyond my dreams.”

Since Nov. 9, Thompson has been hosting a Truck of the Year contest. It’s pretty awesome, actually. The winner gets bragging rights for the year and a prize package that includes Plumbers Alert hats, stickers and beanies.

The rules are simple:

Post a picture of your truck as a Comment; only one per person. The winner will be decided by the number of Likes. Only Plumbers Alert members can participate and only members can vote.

Thompson says group members can’t wait to showcase their rolling offices and workshops.

“We know what it’s like to be in the truck day in and day out – it’s like a second home,” he says. “We take pride in how it looks and runs. I’m excited to see my members’ trucks get even more recognition in Plumber.”

We begin our new truck feature with a photo from James Aus of Tri-Cities Plumbing Solutions & Repair in Elizabethton, Tennessee. It’s an eye-popping entry with refreshing, mountain-scape graphics that any plumber would be proud to own and drive.

Get in on the action. Show us your truck! Email a photo and/or video of your truck to along with your name, make and model of your truck and what you believe makes it unique. You’ll also want to check out our On the Road feature coming in the January print edition of Plumber.
