When a customer was quoted over $6,000 to dig up and replace a drain line, Cheddar’s Plumbing Co. stepped in for a second opinion — and saved the day.

While swapping out the laundry tub, they spotted a cast iron hub coming from the ground. Instead of immediately tearing up the floor, they tried a different approach. Skipping traditional hole saws, they went straight for a carbide hole saw to get through the cast iron.

Once opened up, a rubber donut was installed, and chains were used to break up debris inside the drain. A fresh PVC setup completed the job — no major excavation needed. Smart thinking, solid skills, and a much smaller bill for the customer!
