The RIDGID B-500 transportable pipe beveller is designed to replace traditional bevelling methods such as grinding. It can bevel 10-inch-diameter Schedule 40 pipe in 45 seconds without flames. The unit mounts to the end of pipe 4 inches or greater in diameter, with a maximum wall thickness of 1/2 inch, as well as on flat plates up to a 1/2-inch thick. Interchangeable heads allow bevels to be precisely cut at 30, 37 1/2 or 45 degrees. The tool has speed monitoring with LED indicators that assist the operator in keeping the beveller moving at an optimal pace, ensuring a consistent machine-finished bevel in a single pass. The compact design also enables a single operator to create bevels in a range of applications.
