The Safety+Plus 2 thermal excess flow valve from Brasscraft maintains the properties of the company’s original excess flow valve but adds further protection against gas-related fires and explosions that provides even more protection for home and family. In the event of a catastrophic rupture or disconnect, unrestricted gas flow forces the diaphragm to firmly position itself against the seat. This immediate action restricts gas flow to help avert a hazardous buildup of gas.
