Matt Murray joins SJE as vice president of sales – CLT division

Matt Murray has joined SJE as vice president of sales – CLT division. Murray replaces former vice president of sales, Richard Rankka, following his recent retirement. Murray will lead the sales strategy, product management and marketing for the controls and level-sensing technologies division of SJE. He brings over 18 years’ experience in various leadership and sales roles, including positions as director of sales, global strategic account manager, and senior business unit manager. Most recently, Murray was the senior business unit manager — industrial distribution at Franklin Electric. Prior to that, he spent seven years with ITT Goulds Pumps in several roles with his last being global strategic account manager.


CallRail and ServiceTitan join forces

CallRail, an AI-powered lead intelligence platform, announced a partnership with ServiceTitan. The integration will allow mutual customers — including those in HVAC, plumbing, pest control and electrical — to access valuable information about prospects and customers. The integration will ensure that the complete customer journey, from lead to job, is all captured within the ServiceTitan dashboard.


REHAU and HMC announce partnership

Polymer manufacturer REHAU and Hugh M. Cunningham Companies announced their partnership that serves the mechanical and plumbing market in Texas and Oklahoma. HMC will expand their product line by representing REHAU polymer-based solutions for mechanical and plumbing systems. This partnership combines the long-standing industry expertise of both companies, providing enhanced services to contractors, engineers and wholesalers.

Stern-Williams Products adds Jeff Kren as national sales manager

Jeff Kren has joined Stern-Williams Products as national sales manager. Kren brings an extensive amount of sales, leadership and brand-building experience to Stern-Williams. He spent 25 years of his professional career at Reynolds American, Inc. progressing through the company gaining valuable experience in several roles. Some of these roles included account management, people management, talent development and senior director of trade marketing. He most recently worked for PRIER Products as a regional sales manager responsible for the southern half of the United States.


National Technical Institute expands Phoenix campus

National Technical Institute, a state-approved trade school with campuses in Las Vegas, Phoenix and Houston, is expanding its campus in Phoenix due to increased demand. The campus, which offers fast-track training in HVAC, commercial refrigeration, plumbing and electrical career paths, has grown to include a 10,000-square-foot building to accommodate more students and enhance its training facilities. The new building will house all plumbing and electrical classrooms and labs, while the existing building will expand its HVAC and commercial refrigeration lab space. Classes in the new building began at the end of September.


Viega collaborates with ASTM to publish press connections document

Viega announced the publication of the ASTM B1029: Standard Practice for Press-Connect Joints with Seamless Copper and Copper Alloy Tube and Press Fittings. ASTM is a global organization that develops and provides standards for various industries and applications. Viega took part in a rigorous consensus process to document best practices for creating press-connect joints. The new ASTM B1029 standard aims to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and adoption of press-connect technology in its approved applications by providing a standardized practice to be used industry-wide.
