CUES has been awarded a cooperative purchasing contract through Sourcewell, a public procurement agency that serves government, education and nonprofit organizations across North America.
This award recognizes CUES as a vetted and approved vendor, making its solutions more easily accessible to municipalities and public agencies through a streamlined purchasing process. For organizations in the water, wastewater and municipal sectors, the contract provides direct access to CUES’ full range of pipeline inspection equipment and software solutions, supporting improved infrastructure management, safety and operational efficiency.
Rheem has products installed on every continent
With the installation of two electric water heater units in Antarctica, Rheem now has products installed on every continent. Technicians traveled to the Argentine Air Force’s Marambio Base, located on Seymour Island, to install the 255-liter COM255E as well as the 125-liter TEP125RH. Both units were selected based on their durability as well as performance under critical climate conditions, with the goal of supplying a dependable hot water source to the base year-round. The operation included overseeing the reception of the units at a logistics cargo center, as part of controlling the transport chain to their final destination. With the installation of the COM255E and TEP125RH models, the hot water supply is now linked to equipment designed to maintain performance in low temperatures.
PHCC announces new Education Foundation sponsor
The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association Educational Foundation announced Bernzomatic as the newest major sponsor for the PHCC scholarship program. Bernzomatic will be funding more than 50 new scholarships through 2029 for students pursuing plumbing or HVAC apprenticeships, service technician training or college degrees directly related to the plumbing-heating-cooling industry.
Speakman’s Duo Faucet collection wins 2025 Good Design Award
The Duo Faucet collection from Speakman was honored with the 2025 Good Design Award. Founded in 1950 by designers Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames, the Good Design Awards program is among the oldest and most respected design awards in the world, with more than 75 years of recognizing excellence in global design. The 2025 program drew a record number of entries from more than 55 countries, with winners representing the most influential corporations across the international design industry. Duo was honored in the Bath and Accessories category, placing it among an elite group of fewer than 1,100 designs worldwide deemed worthy of the distinction.
Oatey announces two promotions
Oatey announced that Liz Wells has been promoted to senior vice president, chief information officer. Wells joined Oatey in 2021 and assumed leadership of the IT function in 2025, serving as vice president of IT. During her tenure, she has consistently driven cross-functional collaboration and provided critical leadership through the large-scale transformation of the company’s technology landscape. In her new role, Wells will lead the development and execution of Oatey’s IT strategy and champion the use of technology to drive value, innovation and efficiency across the organization. She will continue to foster a high-performing, collaborative IT team that delivers reliable, secure and scalable solutions to both internal and external customers.
Oatey also announced that John Wright has been promoted to vice president, analytics. Since joining Oatey in January 2025, Wright has made a significant impact by advancing the company’s data and analytics capabilities. He developed a multiyear analytics strategy, delivered transformative reporting solutions, and championed the use of data-driven insights across the organization. In his new role, Wright will lead forward-looking analytics strategies while overseeing AI exploration, pilot initiatives and the foundational capabilities needed to ensure alignment with business priorities and effective risk management.
Perry McGuire promoted at Rinnai America
Rinnai America has promoted Perry McGuire to senior vice president, legal, government affairs and people. In this expanded role, McGuire will continue to lead the company’s legal function while also assuming oversight of people and culture, further aligning Rinnai’s people strategy with its long-term business objectives. Since joining Rinnai in 2020 as vice president and general counsel, McGuire has played a critical role in strengthening the company’s legal and compliance framework while supporting strategic growth initiatives across North America. A registered lobbyist, he has also helped spearhead Rinnai’s efforts to protect consumer choice, advocating for federal, state and local legislation that preserves access to a full range of product and fuel options for homeowners and trade professionals.
