Commercial Plumbing + Get AlertsWith the rivalry between tank and tankless water heaters building ever since the introduction of tankless units, Rinnai America Corporation, a top seller of tankless gas water heaters in North America, has seen a continuous rise in misconceptions being spread within the plumbing industry.
With that in mind, the company recently announced the launch of a new “Tankless Truths” campaign, focused on dispelling certain myths associated with tankless water heaters. Rinnai will leverage its industry expertise as well as its key strategic partnership with Matt Risinger, leading personality on the Build Show Network and owner of Risinger Homes in Austin, Texas, to highlight the inaccurate view of tankless not being an effective alternative to tank water heaters.
“At Rinnai, we’ve been improving upon the tankless technology for years, and we believe in its benefits to both our plumbing professionals and their customers,” says Frank Windsor, president of Rinnai. “We want to be sure professionals recognize the product’s positive attributes and that there are no misunderstandings when it comes to the technology.”
Rinnai will begin an educational campaign solely focused on clarifying common myths, such as tankless not working in cold climates or with hard water, that it’s expensive to install, and that it’s a technology that hasn’t been proven. These misperceptions and several more will be ousted via Risinger’s channels, as he walks his viewers through each of the tankless misconceptions and the falsity behind them.
“I think there’s a lot of people who are not sure about this technology, which is why I am happy to help educate and spread awareness of the Rinnai ‘Tankless Truths’ campaign,” Risinger says. “If you look at Rinnai’s lineup, I think there’s a lot of solutions that can make customers happy.”
