Product spotlight taco tridentboost

Commercial booster pumps are essential for ensuring adequate, consistent water pressure in large buildings or systems where municipal supply, gravity or distance can potentially cause pressure drops. They essentially guarantee efficient operation for showers, sinks, appliances and irrigation, preventing system strain and improving overall water service for occupants and operations — solving problems like weak flows on upper floors in high-rises or poor flow during peak demand in any large facility.

Taco recently introduced a booster that brings the technology to the next level with TridentBoost, a booster system engineered to deliver versatility, performance and ease of use in commercial and industrial water applications, including domestic water boosting, industrial process water boosting, heating and cooling applications, assisting in water supply and distribution systems managed by utilities, and agricultural and turf applications that require consistent water pressure.

“TridentBoost represents Taco’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-efficiency solutions,” says Cheryl Merchant, CEO of Taco. “Engineered for smarter performance and simpler installation, it sets a new benchmark in booster system technology.”

Designed to meet the evolving demands of today’s system designers, facility managers and installers, TridentBoost offers a 10-inch full-color HMI touchscreen that provides a user-friendly interface displaying real-time system insights, diagnostics and multilevel secure access, putting complete control in the operator’s hands. In addition, its field-configurable, no-gasket header design streamlines installation, reduces maintenance and eliminates common sealing issues, offering greater flexibility in the field. Compatible with both end-suction and vertical multi-stage pumps, TridentBoost allows for seamless integration across diverse applications, giving system designers freedom.

The system is engineered to meet ASHRAE 90.1 energy efficiency standards, which helps facilities reduce energy consumption and lower operating costs. It is designed for long-term reliability in mission-critical applications (such as data centers and large commercial buildings) with features like a fan-forced cooling system, Nema 12 Panel with 100k SCCR rating, and robust construction. The touchscreen includes a step-by-step startup wizard, simplifying commissioning and troubleshooting without requiring a laptop. It is built to the latest safety and compliance guidelines, including NSF 61 and 372 standards.

“Bringing TridentBoost to market has been a true team effort,” says Paolo D’Amico, director of commercial and industrial product management. “It’s easy to install, intuitive to operate and engineered for long-term reliability. TridentBoost is more than just a booster system — it’s peace of mind.”
