The sold-out 2015 Pumper & Cleaner Profit Series course, which ran March 25-27 in Orlando, Florida, was a huge success. For the 57 attendees, the three days of business-building seminars provided an invaluable learning opportunity.
Networking is a huge part of this event. Attendees from all over the U.S. and Canada shared tips and strategies they’ve learned over the years. Plumbers and drain cleaners joined septic installers and portable restroom operators to create a dynamic pool of professionals from different branches of the industry.
Speaker Ellen Rohr was impressed with the attendees. “It was an honor just to be in the same room with them," she says. "The quality and the caliber of the companies and business people who showed up were very high.
“It was not a casual event. It was a real workshop where people were engaged, and shared and discussed. It was less of a lecture and more of an interactive event where savvy like-minded business people had the opportunity to talk about real business topics.”
Rohr also appreciated the high participation level of everyone who attended, even with potential competitors in the room. “Sometimes you go to an industry event and people will recognize someone with whom they compete and never say one word the whole time. And that was not the case,” she says. “I don’t think there was a single person in the room who didn’t participate. They helped each other and had fun. And they were really smart. I learned a lot from them as well.”
If you missed out on this opportunity, pencil it in for next year. The next Pumper & Cleaner Profit Series is tentatively scheduled for April 4-6, 2016.
