The first day of the AHR Expo is in the books and Day 2 began at 10 a.m. today at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago.
Today, the show will present the AHR Expo Product of the Year at the Innovation Awards ceremony at 1 p.m.
In the plumbing industry, AquaMotion has already won an Innovation Award for its Aqua-Flash under-sink hot water recirculation system. The by-pass valve features a design that prevents hot water from entering the cold line when the hot water faucet is opened. It has a bi-metal coil element that closes the internal shuttle by-pass port in the valve when hot water reaches the valve.
Other finalists for the plumbing Innovation Award include Caleffi’s Hydronic Solutions LegioMix electronic mixing valve with disinfection, and John Guest USA with its JG ProLock twist-to-lock fitting system.
The winners were selected by a panel of third-party ASHRAE member judges who evaluated all award entries based on innovative design, creativity, application, value and market impact.

Once again today there will be 43 free new product and technology exhibitor presentations where manufacturers can explain on stage what they have that is new and how it works.
The presentations take place until 6 p.m.
