Vivax-Metrotech expands with new facility in Malaysia
Vivax-Metrotech announced a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Malaysia. According to a company release, the Malaysian plant is designed to support scalable growth, adding manufacturing redundancy and accelerating time-to-market for key product lines, while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.
NIBCO promotes Hummel to director, sales enablement
NIBCO INC. has promoted Will Hummel to director, sales enablement. In this newly created role, Hummel will lead the development and implementation of a strategic sales enablement program designed to equip the sales team with the tools, training and insights it needs to succeed. Hummel joined NIBCO in March 2023 as commercial sales manager and brings more than 25 years of industry experience, including leadership roles such as director of marketing and director of wholesale sales.
LEGEND acquires plant previously operated by Corplex
LEGEND announced the acquisition of the extrusion plant in Romeoville, Illinois, previously operated by Corplex. As of August, the plant is operating under the name LEGEND USA. The facility will continue to serve Corplex’s packaging customers with the same high-quality products while supporting LEGEND’s expanding role in the commercial vehicle aftermarket industry. The acquisition reinforces LEGEND’s commitment to vertical integration, supply chain resilience and U.S.-based growth. LEGEND’s headquarters will remain in Tillsonburg, Ontario.
New leader Joins mSupply’s commercial operations
Paul Ellis has joined mSupply as vice president of commercial operations. With more than 15 years’ experience, Ellis is leading the company’s customer relationship management system, overseeing development of its self-service branch program and managing oversight of its sales systems. That includes sales training, analytics and reporting, along with inside sales development, across the enterprise. Most recently, Ellis served as senior director of sales operations at HD Supply. Prior to that, he held a range of sales leadership roles for Hubbell Incorporated, Fresh Water Systems and Grainger.
