Dirty Drops

Plumber magazine announces the launch of Dirty Drops Weekly, a new online newsletter created to help young adults ages 16-32 discover meaningful, futureproof careers in the water and wastewater industry. As the trades and utilities face increasing workforce shortages nationwide, Dirty Drops Weekly provides an entry point for emerging waterworkers.

Designed for students, emerging professionals, veterans transitioning to civilian careers, and individuals seeking stable, mission-driven employment, Dirty Drops Weekly:

  • Explains career pathways in operations, engineering, field tech roles, lab work, digital tech and more
  • Spotlights young professionals currently shaping the industry
  • Centralizes training, certification and apprenticeship dates
  • Provides scholarship and job-opening alerts
  • Translates industry news into plain English

“The trades and utilities are urgently looking for promising young talent,” says Cory Dellenbach, editor of Plumber. “This generation cares deeply about sustainability, community impact and job stability. Dirty Drops Weekly shows them how the water sector fits perfectly at that intersection.”

The newsletter will publish weekly starting in spring 2026, is mobile-friendly and is available as a free section within your Plumber e-news subscription until the launch.
