Airvac vacuum sewer collection system

Airvac’s vacuum sewer collection systems are a mechanized method of transporting wastewater. Differential air pressure creates flow rather than gravity or pressure. Essentially, a vacuum sewer collection system is a vacuum-assisted gravity sewer system. Systems require a vacuum station. Vacuum pumps at the vacuum station maintain vacuum on the collection mains. To maintain this vacuum, a valve at each sewage input point seals the system. The valve opens automatically when a given quantity of sewage accumulates in a collection sump. This valve is entirely pneumatic in its control and operation. The Singulair HK Green wastewater treatment system from Norweco is designed for areas that require significant and consistent reduction of total nitrogen. The hybrid system combines suspended and attached growth biological processes, and consists of pretreatment, anoxic, aeration and clarification chambers, followed by the biofilm reactor. It uses an extended aeration process to treat wastewater and features technology to enhance or optimize denitrification. Zoeller Pump’s 10 and 15 hp 72 HD Series is an expansion to its existing grinder product offering now ranging from 1 to 15 hp. There, self-reproducing bacteria and enzymes gradually dissolve to create a growing area of activity, digesting and liquefying organic waste — treating the entire system, including the drainfield. Common household chemicals such as anti-bacterial products, bleaches, detergents, or a heavy presence of antibiotics can kill already low levels of bacteria in the septic system.
