NIBCO announces financial leadership promotions
NIBCO has announced the promotions of Brian Jaebker to chief financial officer and Todd Nowicki to senior vice president, finance. In Jaebker’s new role, he will be responsible for accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and investor relations. Jaebker has worked at NIBCO since 2014 and brings past accounting experience to his new role. During his career at NIBCO, he held several positions including director of operations accounting and corporate controller. In Nowicki’s new role, he will be responsible for the pricing team, strategic initiatives and long-range planning. Nowicki joined NIBCO in 1984 and has worked as an industrial engineer, Goshen plant manager, director of residential manufacturing, division controller, operations accounting controller, corporate controller, director of operations and accounting and vice president of finance.
Bradford White acquires FloLogic, donates to technical school
Bradford White has acquired FloLogic, a North Carolina-based manufacturer of plumbing leak detection and automatic shut-off solutions for homes and light commercial buildings. FloLogic’s premium IoT-based leak detection and automatic shut-off technology offers a comprehensive solution and protection from plumbing leaks. Current FloLogic customers should continue to use their existing contacts for sales and service support.
Bradford White also announced the donation of its water heaters to Connecticut’s Bullard-Havens Technical High School to support hands-on learning for future plumbers. The company is also donating service parts and in-person training to the school, located in Bridgeport. The in-kind contribution of water heating products is funded by Bradford White’s charitable giving initiative, Industry Forward. The company’s technical field trainers are also donating their time to provide in-person training to Bullard-Havens students, and students will get access to Bradford White’s exclusive educational resources to enhance their classroom learning experience.
Sioux Chief acquires Real-Tite Plugs
Kansas City, Missouri-based Sioux Chief announced the acquisition of Real-Tite Plugs. Family-owned Sioux Chief has been in business since 1957 and manufactures thousands of plumbing products in the U.S. Real-Tite Plugs, est. 1981, has been manufacturing U.S.-made expandable cleanout plugs that seal clean-outs with missing or damaged threads. They have a low-profile, flush face and are approved for permanent installation in PVC, ABS, or cast iron cleanout tees. Effective immediately, contractor customers can place their orders for Real-Tite Plugs, along with specific Sioux Chief items, directly on the new Real-Tite Plugs E-Shop from Sioux Chief at www.real-titeplugs.com.
A. O. Smith signs agreement to acquire Pureit
A. O. Smith has signed an agreement to acquire Pureit from Unilever. Pureit offers a broad range of residential water purification solutions and has annual sales of approximately $60 million, primarily in India. The purchase price will be approximately $120 million in cash, subject to customary adjustments. A. O. Smith expects to complete the acquisition by the end of 2024 and does not expect the acquisition to have a material impact on earnings in the first year.
Paul Nick joins Rinnai America as VP
Paul Nick has joined Rinnai America as vice president of product and marketing. The newly created position will lead the organization’s product management and marketing teams and will support its growth goals of expanding the product portfolio in existing and adjacent categories. Nick has over 25 years’ experience in marketing and product leadership. He spent over 10 years with Polaris in a variety of different capacities, most recently as vice president of off-road products plus partnerships with the parts, garments and accessories divisions. Prior to his time with Polaris, Nick held leadership positions in product and marketing for other companies including two years at Target and 12 years with Kohler Co.
