Matthew Windrum joins PMI government affairs team

Matthew Windrum has joined the Plumbing Manufacturers International team as director of state government affairs, policy and advocacy. In this newly created role, he will develop relationships with state elected officials, policymakers and agencies across the country, working to share and advance the policy interests of PMI and its members. With more than 15 years’ experience in state government affairs and public policy, Windrum has served in a variety of roles with the most recent as a vice president at Kasirer LLC, a New York City-based lobbying firm.


Duravit expands partnership with The Distribution Point

Duravit announced strategic updates to its longstanding partnership with The Distribution Point, taking its Ready to Ship Program to the next level. TDP serves the wholesale community as an independent source for master distribution of leading faucet and fixture brands. Through this enhanced partnership, TDP is committed to maintaining significantly higher inventory levels for all Duravit Ready to Ship Program products while also expanding shipping options, including new small-order shipping across its West and East coast distribution channels to better serve wholesalers.

NIBCO promotes Crain to VP of specialty and retail sales

NIBCO has promoted Colin Crain to vice president of specialty and retail sales. In Crain’s new role, he will be responsible for managing all aspects of both retail and specialty channels at NIBCO while creating and implementing a strategic growth plan and developing talent. Crain will report to Joe Choflet, vice president of sales and marketing. Crain brings 28 years’ experience in the industry to this new role. He joined NIBCO in December 2004 as a sales engineer and has held several positions, including engineering systems specialist, commercial sales manager and regional sales manager for the southeast. In March 2020, he was promoted to director of wholesale sales east.


IAPMO’s Innovation and Research Fund launched

IAPMO has launched the IAPMO Innovation and Research Fund, a dedicated initiative designed to fuel pioneering research, develop innovative solutions and launch impactful projects that address critical issues in the plumbing, water and mechanical industries. The fund aims to improve public health, strengthen climate resiliency and increase housing affordability while contributing to a more sustainable future. Key focus areas of the fund include researching new methodologies that improve water quality and developing methods to deliver water that promote human health and safety. It will also focus on investigating and promoting efficient systems and best practices to address water scarcity, ensuring the sustainable utilization of resources for future generations. Additionally, it will focus on increased usage of accurate pipe sizing measurements.

Rinnai appoints McKinley James VP of operations 

Rinnai America announced that McKinley James was appointed vice president of operations and will become the newest member of the company’s executive leadership team. In his new role, McKinley will be responsible for the strategic development and operational performance of Rinnai America’s manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, strategic sourcing and lean manufacturing. Mckinley will lead the operations team as the company expands its manufacturing and distribution to support its growth in the North American market.

Viega North America has appointed Todd Schwarzenbach as its new chief customer officer. In his new role, Schwarzenbach will focus on creating a unified strategy for Viega’s customer organization and ensuring alignment across teams while driving a seamless, customer-focused approach to growth. With more than 24 years of commercial leadership experience and seven years as a captain in the U.S. Air Force, he has led businesses, built high-performing teams and driven market growth across diverse industries such as industrial, defense, health care and safety.


PHCC’s CONNECT 2025 Conference coming in October

Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors — National Association’s annual CONNECT conference will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Oct. 27-30 at DeVos Place. The theme of this year’s conference is Growth Through Collaboration, emphasizing the power of working together to drive innovation, overcome challenges and achieve success in the industry.

Oatey adds to management team

Oatey has added Ron Carlson and Jim Reginelli to its management team. Carlson, senior vice president, U.S. operations, has 30 years’ experience as an operations leader and a proven track record in the chemical and plastics industries. He joins Oatey from Novagard where he served as vice president of operations. He has also held leadership roles at GEON Performance Solutions and PolyOne, as well as serving as a multisite plant manager at Avery Dennison. Oatey also announced Jim Reginelli joined the organization as senior vice president, quality and engineering. Reginelli has over 20 years’ experience leading product development, driving innovation and optimizing operations from R&D to full-scale manufacturing. He joins Oatey from Kichler Lighting, where he spent the past 10 years in various leadership roles, most recently serving as vice president of product development.
