Plumbers and drain cleaners looking to expand their business or get a leg up on the competition will want to explore the latest products and technology at the 2016 Water & Wastewater Education, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show Feb. 17-20 in downtown Indianapolis.

Covering 540,000 square feet of the Indiana Convention Center, WWETT attracted nearly 14,000 visitors from 53 countries in 2015 with 86 percent saying new products and technologies are one reason why they keep coming back.

Here’s a look at some of the products on display:

PSI Pressure Systems Corp.

The NX-365 waterjetter from PSI Pressure Systems Corp. features SWS (smart water system) conversion, enabling it to operate throughout a pressure range of 8,000 to 40,000 psi without changing or removing the discharge manifold, accessory manifold, rupture disc assemblies, or pressure gauges. 855/775-5055;; Booth 5548.

US Jetting

The 4025 4,000 psi at 25 gpm waterjet trailer from US Jetting can be used for cleaning 1- to 36-inch pipes and culverts. It has a Hatz Tier 4 Final engine that is efficiently designed from the ground up to consume less fuel and generate more horsepower. 800/538-8464;; Booth 5334, 5335.

Advanced Infrastructure Technologies

The Workhorse Nozzles Phantom Grenade fixed-jet nozzle from Advanced Infrastructure Technologies features hardened jets that stand up to the abrasive power of high-pressure and reclaimed water. The conical ceramic sleeves in the jets minimize turbulence and accelerate the water stream as it leaves the jets. The combination of higher velocity and greater efficiency means more energy is delivered to the pipe wall. Jet angles are 25 and 30 degrees for maximum cleaning force. Dual-angled jets deliver 360-degree coverage of the pipe wall. 844/669-9537;; Booth 4110.

Arthur Products

The PX Revolver G3 nozzle from Arthur Products is designed for the operator who not only must service a line but also travel a long distance in the line. It has three additional fixed rear jets dedicated to generating large thrust for long runs. The added rear jets enable the rotor jets to focus on penetration, polishing and flushing. Manufactured from high-grade stainless steel and custom drilled, the nozzle is available in 1/4-, 3/8- and 1/2-inch NPT sizes. 800/322-0510;; Booth 1349.

Jetter Depot

The Magredi heavy-duty sledge nozzle from Jetter Depot features nine rear ceramic jets. The sledge profile helps clear obstacles and clean sedimentations, lowering the risk of getting stuck. Designed to remove sand, sludge, rocks and debris pipes up to 60 inches in diameter, the nozzle works as a water shovel in larger pipes. 678/549-2621;; Booth 2375.

KEG Technologies

The KleenSight camera nozzle from KEG Technologies cleans and videos sewer and storm lines in one pass. The 1080P HD upright-image camera ensures high-quality video for condition assessment. Only a jetter hose connection is required, no cables or wires. The stainless steel construction is completely sealed with magnetic on/off switch protecting internal components. Video camera and LED lights are powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Video files are automatically date and time stamped and saved to the 16 GB internal memory. Wi-Fi-capable devices can view and download the video files. 866/595-0515;; Booth 2425.

The BL Swiper sewer nozzle from NozzTeq is designed for use in PVC or other fragile pipe. The hydraulically engineered nozzle uses the venturi effect to clean at pressures as low as 400 psi. Internal parts are made of durable stainless steel. It is available in four- and six-jet versions, for use in pipes as small as 3 inches. 866/620-5915;; Booth 1250.

The FDU300 applicator from RootX is designed to apply root-control solutions in mainline pipes up to 24 inches in diameter. Constructed from stainless steel, it features a self-righting spray head for easier and faster chemical loading. Its bayonet locking system eliminates locking pins; an eyebolt simplifies the lowering of the applicator into the manhole. 800/844-4974;; Booth 5060.

Switcher cleaning heads from StoneAge eliminate extra runs by switching between pulling and descaling jets. The tool can run down lines, engage full force to clear obstructions and reduce pressure to move debris. Each time the pump is idled down and brought back to pressure, the tool alternates functions between two sets of jets. Field use of the WGR Magnum with Switcher head versus the traditional method of using two tools (rotational and fixed nozzle) uses up to 35 percent less water and is up to 50 percent faster. 866/795-1586;; Booth 5134.

USB - Sewer Equipment Corporation

The Primus Nozzle-3D from USB - Sewer Equipment Corporation features a high-performance ceramic drive mechanism and Advanced Optimized 3D Hydro Mechanics. It requires no lubrication or replacement of internal mechanical parts within the first 12 months. Each nozzle can be operated with recycled water and has an operational pipe range of 4 to 24 inches, using between 14 and 120 gpm at 2,000 to 4,000 psi. Hose connections include 1/2-, 3/4-, 1- and 11/4-inch NPT and BSPP. 866/408-2814;; Booth 5043.
