What better place to celebrate an 85th anniversary than Las Vegas? The city never seems to go to sleep and the energy level is always high. It’s the perfect place to draw in thousands of attendees to a decades-old show dedicated to air-conditioning, heating, refrigerating and plumbing.

The International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) kicks off today at 10 a.m. (Pacific time) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show will include more than 2,000 exhibitors and is expected to attract crowds of over 60,000 industry professionals from every state in the U.S. and 150 countries.

“It provides a unique forum designed expressly for the HVACR community, allowing professionals to get together to share new products, technologies and ideas,” say show officials through the AHR Expo website at ahrexpo.com.

There are three product sections within the show floor — building automation and control showcase, software center, and the indoor air quality association pavilion. The special sections allow attendees with specific interests to focus their time in a single area.

The AHR Expo is co-sponsored by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). The show runs through Wednesday.

I’ll be attending the show and look forward to connecting with you while I am there. If you would like to meet, email me at editor@plumbermag.com to set up a time.
