Toilet repair parts brand Fluidmaster has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to enroll full-time in the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors Association of Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino (PHCC-ORSB) four-year Journeyman Plumbing Training Program. Up to six student recipients will each receive a $3,500 award.

Applicants to the Fluidmaster PHCC Scholarship Program must be high school seniors, graduates or GED recipients who have completed the PHCC Ride and Decide Program and plan to enroll in full-time study in the PHCC-ORSB four-year program in August/September 2019.

“Plumbing is a very lucrative career with great job security,” says John Wohlfiel, Fluidmaster vice president of human resources.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for plumbers is projected to grow 16% from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations.

“These students are the future of our industry so we’re thrilled to be able to help propel them to the next level of their career in plumbing,” Wohlfiel says.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals.

The application must be submitted on or before 3 p.m. CDT on July 15. For more information, visit www.fluidmaster.com/about-fluidmaster/plumbing-scholarship/.
