The IKON apron-front, single-bowl sink from BLANCO features a traditional wide radius and robust 1.5-inch rim. A custom-fit Floating Grid accessory, which rests along the walls of the sink, and can be used as an additional workstation for prepping and cleaning, or as a trivet on the countertop. Since the grid is not needed to protect the sink surface, it floats gently above the sink bottom (above debris and water) to be used as a multi-tasking work area that’s clean and easy to reach.

“Our goal with the creation of the BLANCO IKON was to once again raise the bar for innovation in kitchen sink fixtures,” says Tim Maicher, marketing director for BLANCO. “After years of research, our engineers were able to deliver what was thought a technical impossibility – a true granite apron front kitchen sink.”

The sink is available in three on-trend neutral colors: Anthracite, White and Café Brown.

Saniflo high-efficiency toilets with macerating systems

Two high-efficiency toilets from Saniflo are available with macerating plumbing systems: Saniplus, Saniaccess2, Saniaccess3 and Sanibest Pro. The vitreous china, floor-mounted toilet bowls use 1.28 gallons per flush, meeting the WaterSense labeling criteria of the Environmental Protection Agency. Available in white with either an elongated or round front, the new bowls feature a wash-down-style flushing action with a 3-inch trapway. Both the elongated and round-front toilet bowls have a floor-to-rim height of 16.75 inches, enhancing user comfort and convenience. The elongated model, which measures 28.75 inches deep, complies with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Both toilets feature soft-close toilet seats.

The integral P-trap of the bowl evacuates through a spigot outlet in the rear of either bowl, rather than at the bottom, as with a conventional toilet. This configuration permits connection with the Saniflo macerator, located behind the bowl – either between it and the wall, or concealed behind the wall with the use of Saniflo’s special extension pipe with paintable decorative trim.

Saniflo macerators quickly and quietly reduce incoming solid and liquid effluent from the toilet bowl before discharging it vertically through small-diameter piping to a sewer or septic line. These above-floor plumbing systems allow home and building owners to create bathrooms wherever they are needed, even where no below-floor drainage exists – thus avoiding the hassle and expense of breaking through floors. 800/571-8191;

TT Technologies pipe-bursting system

The Grundoburst static pipe-bursting system from TT Technologies is designed to burst and replace water, sewer, gas and other pipes. Available in six models for bursting 2- through 54-inch and larger pipes, the Grundoburst can pull in a variety of replacement pipe including PVC, DIP, ABS, cast iron, fusion-welded HDPE and VCP jacking pipe.

The pipe-bursting system utilizes a specially designed bladed cutter head to make bursting ductile iron and steel pipe possible. Pulled by a hydraulic bursting unit, the cutter head’s special cutting wheels split the host pipe. An attached expander spreads and displaces the split pipe into the surrounding soil while simultaneously pulling in the new pipe. 800/533-2078;
