To achieve top levels of efficiency in residential, light commercial, industrial, agricultural and OEM water supply and HVAC applications, plumbers need the right combination of motors, variable-speed drives and pumps.

Goulds Water Technology, a Xylem brand, has launched the e-HME pump with integrated and variable-speed control and intelligence. This easy-to-install variable-speed system combines a state-of-the-art hydraulic pump with permanent magnet motor technology and a variable-speed drive to provide up to 70% energy savings in residential and agricultural applications. It’s designed to ensure reliable performance, maximum savings and a rapid return on investment.

“Installers need the right combination of motor, drive and hydraulic pump in a turnkey package for applications such as pressure boosting and irrigation,” says Stephen Clark, Xylem product line manager, monitoring and controls, applied water systems. “Our e-HME range includes truly smart pumps that deliver high performance and optimize energy use right out of the box.”

The e-HME pump models are preprogrammed for quick installation and have stainless steel casing and inner components for minimal noise levels and long service life. The products are certified to the NSF/ANSI 61 Drinking Water System Components standard to deliver safe, quality potable water, and they are rated NEMA 3R for outdoor installation.

The e-HME smart pump offers five ranges that deliver up to 130 gpm and 540 feet TDH, making it a fit for a wide list of applications, including residential and commercial pressure boosting, industrial and HVAC, and irrigation. It includes the Xylem Smart Motor, an “ultrapremium” IE5 permanent magnet motor, providing efficiency well above a standard IE3 NEMA premium efficient synchronous motor. It includes a wide range of monitoring, control and safety features right out of the box, with no need to configure, and can operate single or multipump systems of up to three pumps, with no need for an external control panel or PLC.

Quickly install a system by adding power and plumbing, press start, and the system is ready to perform, with no external drive or controller required. 866-325-4210;
