Asahi/America welcomes new business development manager

Asahi/America announced the addition of Peter Quinn to its business development team. He joined the company as national business development manager for custom fabricated products. Quinn brings more than 30 years’ sales and distribution experience of pipe, valves and fittings with him to Asahi/America. He will work closely with the company’s sales and engineering teams to promote the company’s growing custom fabrication division.

Caleffi North America announces Witczak as new customer service rep

Caleffi North America announced the introduction of John Witczak to its customer service team. He will work closely with Caleffi’s customers and sales team to provide accurate order processing and friendly support. Witczak has been involved in customer service support for nearly a decade, including his most recent position at U.S. Bank in Milwaukee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

PRIER Products partners with MasterSpec

PRIER Products announced its partnership with MasterSpec and newly published specifications for architects, engineers and contractors. Fifteen commercial products have been added to MasterSpec. It will help engineers research, identify and specify products for various plumbing projects. Light-, medium- and heavy-duty commercial hydrants were added, as well as heavy-duty ground hydrants and angle sill faucets, among others.

Restoration 1 and bluefrog Plumbing + Drain announces investment

Restoration 1 and bluefrog Plumbing + Drain announced a strategic investment by MPK Equity Partners and Princeton Equity Group. The deal marks an investment with the property restoration company and its sister brand, a plumbing franchise. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Based in Waco, Texas, Restoration 1 has rapidly expanded to nearly 300 locations that are open and in development across the United States. bluefrog Plumbing + Drain, which was added in 2017, has begun expanding to new territories and states in addition to awarding the first co-branded franchise locations to Restoration 1 franchisees in 2019.

Sewer Equipment announces new dealers

Sewer Equipment announced its newest full-line dealers: Brown Equipment Co. in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky and MSC Equipment in Virginia. Since 1968, Brown Equipment has been a knowledgeable resource for sales, parts and service in both the government and private sectors, focusing on street and sewer maintenance equipment. With a history dating back to 1934, the Municipal Sales Co., now MSC Equipment, operates a full-service center with in-stock parts and accessories in Oilville, Virginia.

Caleffi announces Pepco Sales and Marketing as new rep

Caleffi announced Pepco Sales and Marketing as its representative for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. Pepco will sell and support Caleffi’s entire line of engineered components for hydronic heating, plumbing and heat metering systems. With its 55 years of experience, Pepco brings technical knowledge and services to its customers — including the mechanical, electrical and plumbing community; distribution partners; and contractors — at every stage of the construction cycle. 

Chicago Faucets welcomes Downey

Chicago Faucets welcomed Chris Downey to the sales team as Southeast region commercial sales manager. Downey will be responsible for directing the activities of the independent sale representatives in the Southeast region to support the overall revenue goals of the company, as well as managing and maintaining key customer relationships. He studied at the University of Toledo; has certifications in various plumbing, HVAC and geothermal disciplines; and will be based out of his home office in Luckey, Ohio.

Armstrong Fluid Technology names new commercial director and US leader

Building technology industries veteran Mike Fischer has joined Armstrong Fluid Technology as commercial director and country leader, U.S. In this role, he will be responsible for all sales and sales support functions for the U.S. and will report directly to Joachim Schulz, global commercial director, Building Business. In Fischer’s 29 years with Honeywell, he held several executive management positions with the company’s Building Technologies, Building Products and Life Safety divisions. Most recently, he served as global Honeywell Building Solutions service sales leader.
